About This Ministry
A sacred resting place. The Columbaria at St. Charles Garnier is a resting place for the cremated remains of our parishioners and members of their families, and for members of other Catholic parishes in the Nelson Diocese. For centuries, committal within a sacred place has been among the highest honours bestowed on a person, and the assurance of a resting place on sacred ground brings personal and family peace of mind.
The columbaria is located between the north and east sides of the church. It is landscaped with trees and shrubs, furnished with benches, and surrounded by a wrought iron fence with a locked gate: a secure, protective, enduring and peaceful place of honour for all our loved ones.
Each niche includes
- Individual engraving on the granite face with the family name, Christian name, and dates of birth and death.
- Non-degrading materials. Marine-grade aluminum niches keep their integrity and beauty in the harshest weather.
- A patented security system that protects the niches against forced entry and vandalism.
- Individual granite niche doors.
Prices
Every niche holds two urns.
- Rows A and B: $3,500
- Rows C and D: $3,300
Plus engraving fees. Available to Catholic parishioners of St. Charles Garnier and other parishes in the Nelson Diocese.
